"I went Deaf and mute 14 years ago. I was clueless about ASL. I didn’t had anyone to ask questions or even understood the Deaf world. I asked my kid’s school district to help us communicate and they didn’t. After meeting wonderful people at Sign and Dine, I finally feel understood, supported and no longer alone. People who go Deaf or Hard of Hearing after High School, have very limited support. We should all come together to exchange new ways to communicate with everyone. We shouldn’t be oppressed and ignored. Thank you to all the Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Hearing people who makes efforts to come together and make a difference to learn ASL to communicate with us.
